Our Principal Mrs. Kala Nagarkoti, is a Graduate in Science and Post Graduate in Education.

During her tenure of 34 years as an educationist she has grown from strength to strength- both personally and professionally.

She is one of the few who have been sent to different countries like Australia, Germany, Singapore and Scotland to represent the school. She went to Australia in 2004 on a teacher exchange programme. She was on attachment programme with Raffles institution, Singapore for 6 weeks in 2007. During this visit, she sharpened her teaching skills and got an insight into the pedagogy used in teaching and administrative systems used in the school in Singapore and has incorporated them most successfully in her school.

She successfully completed very prestigious project on the Alternate Sources of Energy under German-Indian classroom competition: A cooperation programme between the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Goethe – institute New Delhi/Max Muller Bhavan (MMB) in 2011. She visited Scotland and Lead a team of three teachers under Connecting Classrooms – Partnership, by British Council, to The Glasgow Academy, Glasgow, Scotland and Mearns Castle High School, Glasgow, Scotland.

She received Global Teacher Accreditation Award by British Council in collaboration with UK aid, in 2014, for Action Research on ‘Enhancing Student Learning by motivating and developing their curiosity thereby curbing their dependency on external tuitions';.

She envisages learning as a natural process, values questions above answers, creativity above facts, individuality above conformity and excellence above performance. Her vision is to see her learners as seekers of knowledge who are motivated by curiosity. She is an avid reader and sportsperson to the core. She is a Bronze medalist representing Mumbai region in Kho-Kho at the national level.
